Brief

Our environment is going through a crisis and the challenges of keeping it safe/not harming are increasing every day. As individuals, our minor actions can cause harm that we can not imagine. The same minor actions when collating as a society grow exponentially. We get used to minor harm and it becomes something usual to us, so when something big happens we are maybe surprised /shocked but nothing more. There have been collective efforts from citizens and other individuals, organizations working across the city as well as in this region. In recent times there has been a development on cleaning the bushes along the roads and cutting down nilgiri plantations, suddenly there are a lot of JCBS that can be spotted in and around Yelahanka. Let's find out what's happening to the land and the ecology of the place that we live in.

Field Exploration

Cluster topics

Through field explorations of lakes around Bangalore, I began to delve deeper into the concept of life-centered design for the pre-thesis project. By observing human intervention alongside non-human living things like birds and animals, I explored how such actions alter ecosystems. The case of sewage water entering lakes, development encroaching on natural spaces, and the adaptive behaviors of wildlife, especially birds, form the core of my study on how we shape and disrupt environments.
